Indianapolis - 2011 Schedule

$10.00 late fee when paying at ramp The fishing season that seemed like it would never get here has finally arrived. Although this winter was not as bad as the last one, it made the tournament season take longer to get here with all the nice weather. The tournament of champions was once again held on Lake Guntersville, and once again it was just amazing to see all the big fish weighed in. Congratulations to the Angler's of the Year of the 2011 season, Bud Smart and Dave Coffing of the Indianapolis trail and Jim Han and Wade Cohagen of the Indiana trail. These two teams were awarded plaques and recognized at the banquet. What a pleasant surprise it was to get to listen to the 2011 Bassmaster Classic champion Chris Lane. That was a really nice touch Angler's Choice was able to pull off with no one really expecting that. Once again, the two trails that several teams compete back and forth in Indianapolis and Indiana were represented well again. This is actually the first time in three years that a team from Indiana has not won a boat. Recapping the teams from Indianapolis and Indiana that finished in the money were; Aaron Ault and Jason Herrell, 14th, Mark Randolph and Erin McCormick, 15th, Roger Mikels and Jason Vance, 16th, and Fred Felix and Ronnie Hinesley, 19th. The first tournament for the Indianapolis trail will be Saturday April 7th, 2012 on Morse Reservoir. Sunrise on the 7th is 7:19 a.m. We will start the meeting at 7:10 and be off before 7:25. Weigh in will be at 3:30. The first tournament for the Indiana trail will be Saturday April 14th, 2012 on Lake Shafer. Sunrise on the 14th is 7:09 a.m. We will start the meeting at 7:05 and be off by 7:15. Weigh in be 3:30. With some new teams already signed up and several people needing to do memberships try to arrive early at this first event so we can get paper work done, go over rules and get back in the groove. As we approach the second series of tournaments we will be taking off at safelight, pre-tournament meeting ten to fifteen minutes prior to safe light and fish for at least eight hours to the nearest half hour. Look forward to seeing everyone again and the 2012 season.
