Updates
Entries at ramp subject to $10 late fee July 17th, 2010 Morse Reservoir. The fourth event of the season for the Angler's Choice Region 3 Indiana Division was held on Morse Reservoir. Thirteen teams rolled in to participate in the tournament. It has been a very diverse schedule this year for the Indiana division, as they now have fished Geist, Raccoon, Monroe and Morse fisheries. The weather was really beginning to heat up and as soon to find out, so was the fishing. Morse Reservoir is always one of the favorite mid summer stops, as the fish seem to always cooperate. Congratulations to the team of Bud Smart and Dave Coffing. Bud and Dave were able to bring in a big bag of fish and also nail down the largest fish of the day. Bud and Dave were able to weigh in a limit of fish that tipped the scales at 17.03 pounds. Their big bass winner weighed 4.34 pounds. What a day guys, great job! In second place was the team of Aaron Ault and Jason Herrell. Most days' five fish that weigh 16.64 pounds will win the tournament, just not this day. Congratulations on an amazing second place finish. In third place was the team of Jim McWhirter and Rod Coffing. Jim and Rod were the third team to weigh in with over sixteen pounds, as their five fish went 16.52 pounds. As already mentioned this is usually enough weight to win a tournament, but not on this day. Rounding out the top five were the teams of John Raines and Gordon Beck, and Mark Randolph and Aaron McCormick. John and Gordon had a five fish limit that weighed 12.63 pounds and Mark and Aaron had a five fish limit that weighed 11.62 pounds. Congratulations on good day's guys! Summing up the best weigh in of the year, there were 10 of 13 teams weighing in a limit of fish, there were 3 teams over 16 pounds and not a single team had a blank. What a great day on the water. The next tournament will be held on Lake Shafer August 21st. Special thanks goes out Lafayette Copier, Hinkle Construction, High Tech Motor Sports, The Tire Barn, Main Street Station, Twin Lakes Fish & Game, Vision Floors and More, Westbrook Agency, and Trash Kans Inc.
